Vidient SmartCatch^® Family of Products

SmartCatch® is based on patented video algorithms designed specifically to actively recognize and analyze complex human behaviors and to identify objects. The software then provides actionable, real-time alerts so that appropriate preventative measures can be taken by on-site personnel as well as local emergency system providers.

The modular, open architecture of Vidient SmartCatch® makes it ideal for integrating with all existing security and safety subsystems, thereby leveraging a customer’s investments in previously deployed security and surveillance technologies. The system integrates data from the most widely used surveillance input technologies, including video cameras, access card readers and biometrics fingerprint readers and communicating with the widest range of communication devices, from smart phones to pagers to PDAs.

At the system’s core are the company’s video surveillance algorithms capable of performing complex behavior analysis and object identification. They provide accurate surveillance of multiple objects, even in high-traffic locations, as well as the simple detection of individual objects in open and lightly traveled areas. SmartCatch® is augmented with the industry’s broadest selection of readily available behaviors that can be added to the video surveillance platform as a customer’s needs expand.

The system is easily configured to meet the needs of any user or environment, and it ensures that surveillance networks are monitored and managed in accordance with an organization’s security policies. This policy-based capability enables customers to better analyze their security and risk posture so that they can maximize their current resources and better plan future security spending.

Additionally, the Vidient SmartCatch® system allows customers to archive and rapidly access what has previously been unstructured video surveillance data, making it more effective and valuable. This video data can be queried based on location, time, or type of event. Specific scenes can be queried within the database and instantly replayed for such purposes as incident analysis, forensics, employee orientation and training.
