Tunnel intrusion detection with and without the presence of a train
A weakness of previous solutions for tunnel intrusion detection is the inability to detect an intruder while a train passes. Vidient’s Track and Tunnel Intrusion Detection System (T2ID) solves this problem. In this clip, an intruder is detected prior to the arrival of the train, then again at the end of the clip, when the train is passing. Clip length: 24 seconds.
Perimeter intrusion into a secure area
SmartCatch provides enhanced intrusion detection, many times at half the cost of fence sensors and other traditional technologies. SmartCatch generates alerts instantly when a person or vehicle enters into an exclusion zone. In addition, SmartCatch monitors for potential threats outside the perimeter, including stopped cars, speeding vehicles and abandoned packages. In this clip, intruders are detected as soon as they breach the boundary. Clip length: 50 seconds.
Abandoned objects at rail/transit stations
Unattended objects at mass transit systems present unique challenges for detecting abandoned objects. Travelers temporarily block the view of the object, and most objects, while stationary, are not actually unattended. Here, an abandoned bag, shown briefly at the beginning of the clip, is spotted even after being hidden from view. Clip length: 30 seconds.
